VALENTÍN KOVATCHEV IN AAF HAMBURG

Kovatchev´s art comes back to Hamburg to participate in the first edition of AFFORDABLE ART FAIR HAMBURG which will be held at the HAMBURG MESSE with the participation of fifty five outstanding international galleries.

Javier Roman Art Gallery features his latest works in oil painting and etching techniques with an exceptional selection of works, from the Orthodox iconography, the interpretation of the great masters like Dali and Picasso and fantastic architectures, to end finally with the star subject of the show: Hermann Hesse.

The artist pays tribute to his favourite writer and Nobel-prize winner, Hermann Hesse (1877-1962), in the 50th anniversary of his death, showing a recompilation of his Series “Of Hermann Hesse”, created in Bulgaria and composed of nine etchings, inspired by the Hesse´s masterpieces like Siddhartha and Steppenwolf, among other titles. Each work explores in its own way an individual quest for authenticity, self-knowledge and spirituality.

Kovatchev´s first contact with the German market was in Hamburg in 1990 under the auspices of Mrs. Maria Luisa Warburg, participating in various exhibitions in the Hannelore Greve Gallery.

Due to the great success and reception of his work, the artist has taken part in numerous individual and collective exhibitions in the Humboldt University, Berlin; Bavarian-Bulgarian Bank, Munich; “11. Deutsche International Grafik-Triennale”, Frechen, becoming a finalist; Frankfurt Book Fair; Commerce Chamber, Koblenz; Art Multiple Düsseldorf and in the Hermann Hesse Museum, Calw, hometown of the illustrious writer, among others.
